Young boy critically injured in bicycle accident

FERGUSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 10-year old boy was critically injured when he rode his bicycle into a car in Pulaski County, according to State Police.

Investigators say it happened Thursday around 9:40 p.m. in Ferguson.

State Police say the boy, whose name wasn’t released, rode his bicycle through a yard and onto Murphy Avenue where he struck a 2007 Toyota Prius.

The boy was not wearing a helmet, according to KSP.

He was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington where he was listed in critical condition, according to State Police.

The driver of the car was not hurt nor cited for any wrongdoing, according to investigators.
