Woodford Reserve, Double Double Oaked Release
VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ)- Woodford Reserve Distillery is offering up an exclusive batch of bourbon, the Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked.
For the bourbon fans out there you’ve probably heard of the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, which is the basic Woodford Reserve Distiller Select that is re-barrelled for another year in a new heavily toasted barrel. And right now, the Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked is being release which is just like the Double Oaked but it is barreled for two years, so it really brings out a lot of those vanilla, caramel, butterscotch flavors for a sweet and decadent bourbon. This bourbon is in limited quantity so head out the Woodford Reserve soon to find a bottle.
Even if you’re not a bourbon drinker, everyone can appreciate the beautiful drive out to their historic facilities. Woodford Reserve located in Versailles, Kentucky dates back to the early 1800s when Brown Foreman purchased this property in the late ’90s and actually created the brand. They completely renovated the facility to create this beautiful space that guests come from far and wide to visit.
Tours typically last about an hour and ten minutes. On the tour you get to go through the process of making bourbon from grain to glass. You can learn about where the grains are sourced from, how distilling works and see the bottling process. Plus, at the end you can taste the bourbon, which is everybody’s favorite part.
