Woman killed when she is ejected from overturned car
JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 30-year-old Breathitt County woman who wasn’t wearing a seat belt was killed late Sunday night when she was ejected from the car she was driving.
According to Kentucky State Police, Tracy M. Wagers, of Rousseau, was killed at about 10:30 p.m. in a single car crash on KY 15 in the Jackson community in Breathitt County.
Troopers said she driving a 2005 Honda southbound on KY-15 when the car crossed the northbound lane and the northbound shoulder, causing it to overturn. Wagers was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The Breathitt County Coroner’s Office pronounced Wagers deceased on scene.
No seat belts were in use at the time of the collision. An autopsy will be conducted, as this incident remains under investigation by Trooper Stefan Lewis.
