Woman shot in car is expected to survive
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say a woman was shot Saturday night inside a car.
Officers say a woman drove herself to the hospital before 10 PM with gunshot wounds to her leg and hip.
She told police she was leaving the convenience store on Winburn Drive when a man asked her for a ride.
Once he was in the car, they started arguing and he reportedly pulled out a pistol, shot her, and then ran away.
Police expect her to survive. They say she told them her attacker was about 5 foot 8 with a thin build.
