Woman seriously injured in Laurel County robbery

LAUREL CO., Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was seriously injured during a robbery Friday night.

Deputies say several suspects forced their way into a home on Old Union Church Road at around 8:30 p.m. They say during the robbery the victim, 61-year-old Donna Davis, was struck in the head with an unknown weapon. The suspects then left with medication and money, according to deputies.

Davis was able to make her way to a neighbor’s house to call for help. She was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Deputies say the suspects were likely in a white pickup truck, which was seen parked in the driveway earlier.
