Woman and child hit by truck at Walmart in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman and young boy were hit by a pickup truck in the Walmart parking lot in Williamsburg, according to Williamsburg Police.

It happened Thursday just before 2:30 p.m., according to investigators.

Police say 67-year-old Melanie Bennett and her four-year-old grandson were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to investigators.  Their conditions were not immediately available.

The circumstances surrounding the accident were not released by police.  The case is still under investigation.
