Woman Charged with Smuggling Drugs to Inmate
According to London police, an officer was listening in on a phone conversation between a woman and an inmate and discovered the woman had allegedly given the man drugs.
Officers said their investigation revealed that 45-year-old Lisa Callebs had smuggled Suboxone to the inmate on May 3 and had reportedly told him she would soon be bringing him even more.
At around 8pm Wednesday, officers said Callebs arrived at the jail and they stopped her. During an interview with her, they said she admitted to giving drugs and a can of tobacco to the inmate.
Callebs was charged with promoting contraband and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
