Woman charged with DUI after three-car crash on Hal Rogers Parkway
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office say a woman was taken to the hospital, then to jail, after a three-car crash on the Hal Rogers Parkway in London on Tuesday.
Investigators say 54-year-old Carla Reed was driving northbound on the parkway near Pine Top Road, when she pulled in front of a gravel truck, traveling east, hitting the truck. They say she also hit a white Chevrolet pickup truck. The gravel truck overturned onto the shoulder of the parkway.
Deputies say Reed was taken to the hospital for her injuries, and was arrested for DUI after determining she had been under the influence at the time of the crash. Investigators say Reed was not wearing a seat belt and was in possession of marijuana.
No word on the condition of the pickup truck driver or the gravel truck drive.
