Woman charged in connection to 2 bank robberies

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A woman was caught by London Police after robbing the Cumberland Valley National Bank and the Forcht Bank in London Thursday.

Police say 49-year-old Jennifer Moore robbed both banks and escaped in an older model blue van being driven by another woman. Officers caught up with them at the Calvary Worship Center where Moore started running from police. She was arrested behind the church.

London Police say over $32,264 was recovered at the scene.

Following the arrest, it was discovered that the vehicle the female was driving was carjacked from Reed Valley Road.

London Police Detectives are continuing the investigation.
