Woman charged in Bardstown bank robbery

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman from Arkansas was arrested and charged in connection to a bank robbery in Bardstown on Friday afternoon.

Bardstown Police say 28-year old Crystal Gibbons robbed the Wilson and Muir Bank on Culpepper Street just before 2:00 p.m.

Immediately following the robbery, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle and tried to pull Gibbons over, but investigators say she tried to speed away, but was eventually captured and arrested at 2:04 p.m.

Police say she faces a number of charges, including robbery, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
