Woman arrested for identity theft, and drug charges

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Richmond Police report 28 year old Sarah Ritenour was charged with identity theft and a drug offense, after a traffic stop.

Ritenour was riding in a car around Norwood Drive, when it was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, Ritenour provided the officer with a social security number. It was not her own.

Ritenour knew she had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest, and was trying to conceal her identity.

When ordered to step out of the vehicle, Ritenour dropped a small bag of methamphetamine to the ground.

She was served with an arrest warrant from the Madison District court for Failure to Appear on a previous drug charge, and charged for Identity Theft and Possession of a controlled substance.
