Woman accused of stealing thousands from former employer
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman faces numerous charges after being accused of stealing thousands from a former employer.
Court documents say 55-year-old Lori Sue Hardin was a former caregiver for the victim, who has Parkinson’s disease.
Police say the man discovered he was a victim of identity theft.
When investigators looked into it, they discovered money was being transferred out of his account into an account in Louisiana.
Documents say close to $14,000 was stolen from the victim through ATM withdraws.
Police say they were able to track where the debit card was sent to – Hardin’s last known address.
They also say Hardin had it changed so the victim’s bank statements were no longer sent to him.
Hardin is charged with identity theft, forgery and theft by deception charges.
