Woman Accused of Starving Her Adopted Children

A woman in Estill County has been charged with starving her adopted 6-year-old son until he had to be hospitalized for more than two weeks.

According to State Police, Lisa Wolfe was arrested after receiving information from a local medical center that the boy was badly malnourished.

They said he spent a total of 19 days in the hospital, but is now doing better.

Troopers added that two other children, a seven-year-old and a nine-year-old, were also living in Wolfe’s home.

All of the children have been placed with foster parents.

Wolfe was indicted by a grand jury of one charge of criminal abuse first-degree and two charges of criminal abuse third-degree following an investigation started by State Police back in January.
