WKU student from Corbin shot and killed
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ/WBKO) – A Western Kentucky University student from Corbin was shot and killed over the weekend, according to a report from WBKO-TV in Bowling Green.
The victim was identified as 21-year old Kenneth Davis.
The accused shooter was his roommate and fellow WKU student, Peter Gall, according to WBKO-TV.
Police told the TV station that Gall called 911 saying he had shot someone.
Gall’s attorney, Alan Simpson, told WBKO that Gall and Davis and several other young men were horsing around, a gun was brought out and it accidentally discharged, hitting Davis, who died at an area hospital.
Police say Gall is charged with manslaughter. He is due to make his initial court appearance to answer to the charge on Tuesday, September 5, according to the TV station.
