Be wise when buying tickets for the NCAA tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Many solid blue fans will be following the cats on their NCAA tournament journey.

Their first game is against Abilene Christian on Thursday in Jacksonville, Florida.

If you plan on buying tickets, the Better Business Bureau has tips on how to make a safe purchase.

If possible, the BBB recommends buying your tickets from the venue.

If you are buying from a different website, it’s good practice to check the refund policy.

Another tip is to look for the lock symbol in the web address because that will show it’s a secure purchasing website.

If you buy from an individual seller, it’s smart to meet them in person to get the tickets.

The BBB says you do not want to wire transfer money.

“Use credit cards if possible to make any of these purchases because you do have that dispute mechanism and that way you might not get the tickets, but at least you can be sure you get your money back,” said Heather Clary, Better Business Bureau Director of Communications.

If you’re wary of a site or seller, you can look it up on the Better Business Bureau’s website to learn what other customers have experienced.
