Wildfire burning 500 acres in Rockcastle, Pulaski counties

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) – National Forest Service officials say a wildfire that started in Rockcastle County has now spread to Pulaski County, burning 500 acres.

Officials say the fire is now burning in the Bolthouse Ridge area of Pulaski County.

They say rugged terrain is hindering efforts to contain the fire.

Forest officials are reminding the public that all federal lands are under a burn ban.
