Whitley County High’s Athletics Director Accused Of Sexual Assault

Police in Baltimore, Maryland accuse the Whitley County High School Athletics Director of sexual assault.

According to a report in the Corbin News Journal, Michael Campbell is accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year old woman in Baltimore in January.

The newspaper reported that Campbell is on unpaid leave from his job.

He’s being held in Baltimore, according to police.

He’s due in court in Baltimore on February 18th.

Campbell’s attorney told the newspaper that his client is innocent.

Campbell was the head football coach at Whitley County High School for 17-years before becoming athletics director.

He also ran unsuccessfully for Whitley County Judge-Executive in 2005.
