Weather blamed in Madison Co. collision

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Madison Co. Sheriff says a collision on Berea Road sent three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the Sheriff, the accident happened around 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, when a 1996 Buick heading southbound slid on the snow into the northbound lane, colliding with a 2005 POntiac head-on.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Buick were taken to Baptist Health Richmond for treatment of minor injuries. All parties were wearing seat belts, according to the Sheriff.
