We Are Kentuckians rally held in Frankfort
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky lawmakers weren’t the only ones at the capital building on Tuesday.
The group “Kentuckians for the Commonwealth” held a rally to draw attention to a number of social justice issues they w0uld like to see addressed in the state.
Several speakers were at the event, discussing income inequality, economic reform, housing reform, restoring voting rights for felons, and more.
On its website, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth describes itself as a grassroots organization with some 9,000 members. The group champions clean energy sources, tax reform, and voting rights, among other issues.
