Wayne Co. Sheriff releases sketches of home invasion suspect

MONTICELLO, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Wayne Co. Sheriff is hoping the public will be able to identify a man suspected in a home invasion case.

The Sheriff says the incident happened on August 2 in the Ramsey’s Point area of Wayne Co. at about 4:30 a.m.  Investigators say the suspect entered a home with seven people inside. The suspect went to an upstairs bedroom where he reportedly assaulted a female that was asleep. The suspect then ran off and got into a dark color small car parked on Ramsey’s Point Road.

At this point, the Sheriff says detectives have exhausted all their leads in the case, and hope the public can identify the suspect from composite sketches.  Investigators are asking the public to keep in mind that the suspect has red hair and these sketches could only be done in black and white.  The suspect was described as being a heavier set male possibly between the ages of 25-35 years of age with shoulder length hair.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office by calling (859) 348-5416 or through their Facebook page.
