Warren Co. Collision Kills One

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Warren County Sheriff says one person is dead after a collision at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Mudd Avenue in Bowling Green early Monday morning.

The Sheriff says the crash happened just before 3:20 a.m.

According to investigators, a Ford rollback tow truck was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Boulevard when it crossed the center line and hit a Pontiac van.

An unidentified passenger in the van was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, says the Sheriff, while the driver was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville and is currently listed as in stable condition.  The Sheriff says the passenger was not wearing a seat belt when the collision happened.  Their identities have not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.

The driver of the truck, and a passenger, were taken to the Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, according to the Sheriff.
