Warmer end to the week ahead of a big weekend cooldown

Meteorologist Dillon Gaudet has the latest in your full ABC 36 Storm Team forecast

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Wednesday! Our pleasant weather pattern continues today though there will be a few more clouds around. Temperatures will return near normal by the afternoon hours into the low-to-mid 80s. We will see a brief warm-up Thursday into Friday ahead of the strong cold front that will usher in a true “fall-like” feel for the weekend. This will be accompanied by some rain chances late Friday evening into early Saturday. We aren’t expecting a ton of rain at all, with the big temperature drop being the main headline. Overnight lows Saturday night into Sunday will drop all the way into the mid-40s for most locations, leading to our coldest morning since late Spring. Afternoon highs both Saturday and Sunday will struggle to even make it out of the low 70s, with many locations staying in the upper 50s. This cold stretch won’t last too much longer than Monday night into Tuesday, as we are expected to climb closer to normal for our temperatures by the middle of next week.

Stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team for more updates.
