Warm, breezy week ahead with spotty rain chances

Mild start Monday with scattered showers

Monday starts on a mild note, with temperatures already on the warm side and a bit more moisture working into the region. Scattered showers are expected, especially from the morning through early afternoon.

Most of the rain will be light and hit-or-miss, though a brief downpour or even a quick rumble of thunder can’t be ruled out. A few showers could also bring brief gusty winds, but severe weather is not expected.

By later in the day, rain chances taper off, leaving behind a mix of clouds and some breaks of sun. Highs still climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, keeping things feeling more like late spring.

Turning warmer and mostly dry by Tuesday

Tuesday trends warmer and a bit quieter. With more sunshine and continued southwest winds, temperatures surge into the mid to even upper 80s in some spots.

Most areas stay dry, though a stray shower or storm can’t be completely ruled out, especially closer to northern Kentucky. For most, it’s just a warm and breezy spring day.

Wednesday looks very similar, mostly sunny and dry with temperatures that could break record highs.

Midweek brings more storm chances

By Thursday, the pattern becomes a bit more active again. Several weak systems move through, bringing occasional chances for showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.

Rain won’t be constant, and many hours will stay dry, but keep an eye out for passing showers, especially mid to late week. A few storms on Thursday could be on the stronger side, though the overall severe threat remains low for now.

Temperatures stay quite warm through this stretch, generally in the 80s during the day and only falling into the 60s at night.

Late week heat, then another round of storms

Friday looks to warm up even more, with highs pushing toward the upper 80s again under mostly dry conditions.

Another, potentially stronger system approaches sometime this weekend, bringing a better chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms. The exact timing is still uncertain, but it’s something to watch as the weekend approaches.
