Volunteers work toward improving Lexington neighborhood’s homes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Volunteers spent their morning and afternoons working on a few homes in one Lexington neighborhood Saturday.

The group, made up of volunteers from Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Financial focused on seven owner-occupied homes on Florida, Dakota and Upper streets. Their tasks included numerous aspects of the homes. There were gutter and porch repairs made and many volunteers focused on trimming trees and bushes and cleaning up the landscape in the neighborhood.
