Volunteers Pack Care Packages For Military
Care packages are headed to members of the U.S. armed forces, courtesy a group called ‘Military Missions.’
The group sends out care packages — which include snacks, personal cleaning items, games, books, and other items — four times a year. Packages were put together Tuesday night in Lexington, in time to go out for Christmas.
Organizers say they see people from every walk of life taking part. Recently, they saw a six-year-old, who told friends to give items for care packages, instead of giving birthday gifts for him.
