Visitation For Couple Killed In House Fire

Family and friends are saying goodbye to a Lincoln County couple who was killed in a house fire that State Police said was intentionally set.

Troopers said Everett and Linda Garland died of smoke inhalation on Thursday morning.

The Garland’s visitation is today after 6 p.m. at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Police said they have arrested and charged a teenager in connection to their deaths. She is charged with two counts of murder and arson.

A funeral service for the couple will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. It will be held at Morris Hislope Funeral Home. The burial will be at Eubank Cemetery.
