Video shows Clay County deputies taking no action at cockfight
CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – WTVQ-TV ABC 36 News has video from a Chicago-based animal rights group reportedly showing two Clay County Sheriff’s deputies at a cockfight and not trying to stop it or charging anyone.
The video from the group called ‘Showing Animals Respect and Kindness’ or SHARK.
The group says the video was shot at the Laurel Creek Game Club last month.
The two deputies can be seen talking to others at the scene, but o action is taken, at least not on the video.
Cockfighting is a misdemeanor in Kentucky.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department referred questions to the county attorney, who is supposed to be investigating the incident. However, no response has or comment has been issued.
