UPDATE: Former UK softball player killed in rollover crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The victim in a fatal crash that closed a stretch of I-64 Tuesday night has been identified as a former catcher on the University of Kentucky softball team.

The Woodford County Coroner’s Office says 21-year-old Brynlee Bigelow, of Somerset, died at 9:37 p.m.

Investigators say her car rolled several times. The coroner says Bigelow was not wearing her seat belt when she crashed and was thrown out of the car and onto the road.

The highway was closed at mile marker 63 about four hours Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, according to the state.

Traffic was re-routed off of I-64 West onto Leestown Road.

All westbound lanes reopened around 1:00 a.m., according to the state.
