Veterans Gather To Remember Fallen Soldiers
Services were held across the Commonwealth Monday to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
A service at The Lexington Cemetery included a wreath laying, presentation of colors, and 21 gun salute. Mayor Jim Gray spoke at the event.
Walter Cox, a World War II Veteran at the event says almost everyone has ties to the military, and should recognize Memorial Day.
"Everyone ought to wake up on Memorial Day and go visit the graves of our forefathers, everyone should," said Cox.
Veterans from the American Legion Man O’ War Post Number 8 took part in the ceremony.
