Very warm temperatures ahead

Meteorologist Jordan Smith has your Saturday evening ABC 36 Storm Team forecast

Lexington, Kentucky (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Saturday evening everyone, it has been a GORGEOUS day across Kentucky with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s with full sunshine. Tomorrow (Sunday) gets even better with upper 70s to near 80 under a mix of sun and clouds.

Monday will see the upper 70s to near 80 back in the forecast but I can’t rule out a stray thunderstorm.

Slot1

Tuesday will be the exact same as Monday with temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80 and a stray thunderstorm.

Slot2

Wednesday is the day to watch as a cold front enters the state, that could have a line of strong to severe thunderstorms out ahead of it.

Slot3

We will be watching that threat closely. Behind that comes some MUCH cooler air to end the week and especially start next Wednesday. The CPC is highlighting much of the eastern half of the country in a “cooler than normal” pattern during this time.

Stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team forecast through it all both on-air and online. #kywx
