Vehicle crashes into apartment building

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A couple is displaced after a driver crashes his car into their unit at Fayette Crossing Apartments, according to the Lexington Fire Department. The accident happened Wednesday around 10:20 p.m. Investigators say the driver told them he was heading down East Reynolds Road when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed.

The couple told ABC 36 they were at home watching t.v. when they felt the impact of the car crashing into their bathroom. Fire crews say the apartment is not condemned, but they did ask the couple to leave their residence for the night while they inspected the structure.

Authorities say no one was injured in the accident and charges will not be filed against the driver.
