Vandals strike at Health Department office, urgent treatment building

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating vandals who spray-painted an anti-COVID message on the buildings late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Police are checking surveillance video in the areas for possible suspects.

At the Health Department building on Nicholasville Road, the message said, “Covid 19 is an Inside Job.”

The vandalism was quickly removed Monday morning.

Police took a criminal mischief complaint for graffiti at the Health Department building on Newtown Pike and police were called to the Urgent Treatment building on Nicholasville Road for a similar complaint, police said.

A detective is being assigned to investigate both cases, police said.
