Utility work on Main Street in Lexington extended

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officials say work on a utility project on East Main Street at Rose Street/Elm Tree Lane has been extended to 24-hours a day through Thursday morning.

Two lanes of Main Street at the Rose Street/Elm Tree Lane intersection will be blocked during this period, while two lanes will remain open to traffic at all times.

Steel plates placed over the work area will be removed by 5 a.m. Thursday, ahead of the Bluegrass 10K race and the Fourth of July parade.
