US military halts training for Saudi Arabian aviation students
WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVQ) – The U.S. military has temporarily stopped training hundreds of Saudi Arabian aviation students after a deadly shooting at a Florida naval base.
Military officials say the operational training for the Saudi Arabian students at naval air stations are now on hold.
This comes after a Saudi air force officer opened fire last week on a classroom at naval air station Pensacola, according to investigators.
The man killed three sailors before deputies exchanged gunfire with him, killing the 21-year-old, according to authorities.
The military is now reviewing how the Pentagon screens foreign military students.
