US Airway Flight Made Emergency Landing At Bluegrass Airport
A US Airway flight that tried to take off from Bluegrass Airport around noon Saturday had to make an emergency landing.
Airport officials say 33 people were on a flight to Philadelphia, when the small plane’s thrust reverser overheated. That part is used to slow the plane down during a landing, so the flight turned around.
The plane landed safely around 12:40 PM.
At least one fire truck was called and flight crews checked out the plane.
