US 460 reconstruction project underway in Scott County

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that work is in progress for the US 460 Reconstruction Project in Scott County. The project includes asphalt pavement replacement with a new roadway.

The reconstruction activity is between US 460/Frankfort Pike (MP 7.055) from KY 227 at Great Crossing to approximately 0.3 mile east of US 460B/the Georgetown Bypass (MP 8.583).

The Eaton Asphalt Paving Co. Inc. was awarded the project for $3.4 million.  A new roadway should be open to traffic by August 1, 2015. The anticipated completion date for the entire project is November 15, 2015. 

Traffic impacts to motorists will not be immediate.  The traveling public will be informed of closures/impacts to traffic through news releases furnished to media outlets.
