Urban Outfitters To Move Into Former DeSha’s Space

Urban Outfitters will take over the space previously occupied by DeSha’s Restaurant at the corner of Main Street and Broadway in downtown Lexington.

Also, the name of the development is being changed from Victorian Square to The Square, according to Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate of Cincinnati.

The development is a joint venture partnership between Anderson Real Estate and the Webb Companies of Lexington.

Two restaurants, Pies and Pints and The Brass Tap, are scheduled to open on the ground level in the fall, according to Anderson Real Estate.

Pies and Pints is based in Dayton, Ohio.  It features craft beers and gourmet pizza.  This will be its first restaurant in Kentucky.

The Brass Tap is based in Tampa, Florida.  The Lexington business is being franchised by former UK soccer player Matthew Baum.

This will be just the second Urban Outfitters store in Kentucky.  The other is in Louisville.  The clothing store appeals to mostly teenagers and college students.

Other tenants for The Square will be announced at a later date, according to Anderson Real Estate.
