Update: Woman Dies Following Hit And Run In Nicholasville

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said a 50-year old woman, who investigators said was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Nicholasville, died as a result of her injuries Wednesday night.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office says Linda Wilhoite passed away at U.K. Hospital in Lexington.

Nicholasville Police said a passerby spotted the Wilhoite’s body in the road at the corner of Edgewood Drive and Southview Drive around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators said there weren’t any witnesses to the accident.

They said officers were looking for a silver vehicle based on debris found at the accident scene.
