UPDATE: Victims identified in deadly Anderson County crash

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have identified the two women involved in a fatal crash Sunday in Anderson County.

The coroner identified the victim as 70-year old Beverly F. Miner, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the single vehicle crash.  It happened early Sunday evening in the eastbound lane of the Bluegrass Parkway, about two miles from the 127 Exit.

According to Miner’s 19-year-old caregiver, the two were returning from Elizabethtown after picking up a puppy as a gift for Miner’s son.  Investigators say the caregiver told them another car suddenly veered into her path, so she swerved to avoid a collision.  Her car ended up going over a guardrail and down an embankment before coming to rest in some trees.

According to the Anderson County coroner, Miner’s caregiver was thrown from the car.  She was treated and eventually released from an area hospital.  Investigators say the puppy in the car wasn’t injured.  The accident remains under investigation.
