UPDATE: Victim in fatal I-75 crash identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette Co. Coroner’s office has identified Samantha Ann Mckinney as the victim of a fatal accident on I-75 Sunday night.

According to the coroner, Mckinney died of multiple blunt force injuries she sustained in the accident.  Mckinney was ejected from her car and into traffic when she went off the road while traveling northbound on I-75.  The coroner says several vehicles ran Mckinney over.  Another person in the car was transported to the hospital.

The coroner says they aren’t sure how it happened, but alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor.

The interstate near mile marker 99 was closed down for several hours due to the accident.
