UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man shot and killed over the weekend in Lexington.

The coroner says 51-year-old Carroll Martin, of Lexington, died from a gunshot wound.

Lexington Police say Martin was shot in the 700-block of Florence Avenue on Sunday around 9:15 a.m.

Witnesses reported seeing a man running from the scene following the shooting.

Police believe Martin and the shooter knew each other.
