Update: Swahili Elks Lodge Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

Lexington Police say that the man accused of shooting a woman at the Swahili Elks Lodge on August 9th has turned himself in.

Police Fifty year-old Wendell Dixon turned himself in at the Lexington Police station around 4pm Saturday.

He has been charged with First Degree Assault after allegedly shooting 43 year-old April Ballentine at the Swahili Elks Lodge on Versailles road a week ago.

Dixon is expected to be arraigned next week.
