Update: Suspect Still On The Loose One Week After Shooting

Police are still looking for Wendell Dixon, 50, of Lexington, one week after Lexington Police said he shot his girlfriend several times and then fled the scene.

Investigators said the shooting happened following an argument with April Ballentine, 43, at the Swahili Elks Lodge on Versailles Road in Lexington on August 9th.

Police said Ballentine was critically wounded.  They said she was rushed into surgery at U.K. Hospital.  Her condition was not available when ABC 36 News checked today.

Investigators said Dixon should be considered armed and dangerous.
