UPDATE: Suspect in Lexington shooting arrested in Detroit

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Lexington Police Department (LPD) says that a man they say was responsible for a murder on January 12 along Russel Cave Road has been arrested in Detroit.

According to LPD, U.S. Marshals arrested Devonte Hobbs on Tuesday

Officers obtained a warrant for Hobbs’ arrest last week.

According to police, just before 9:30 p.m. on January 12, officers were called to the McDonald’s parking lot on Russell Cave Road in response to shots fired and a possible injury collision.  First responders on the scene found a victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds.  The Fayette Co. Coroner later identified the victim as 23-year-old Timothy Brown, Jr.

Hobbs is currently in the Wayne County, Michigan jail.  He will be extradited back to Lexington
