UPDATE: Stretch Of Nicholasville Rd. Closed To Trucks After Collision

Tractor trailers were detoured away from Nicholasville Road in Lexington Thursday night after a collision.

According to police, a southbound car was trying to turn left onto Southpoint Drive when it collided with a car that was traveling north.

There were no serious injuries, but the crash caused part of a utility pole to crack.

As a result, some of the damaged lights were left hanging close to the street.

Traffic was immediately detoured between Man O’War and Brannon Crossing.

It later reopened to most cars and vehicles.

However, tractor trailers were detoured for hours after the collision.
