UPDATE: State Police say bridge not damaged by barge; road reopened

HICKORY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police an inspection showed no damage to the Lewis Memorial Bridge on US 60 in Smithland that was reportedly hit by a barge Tuesday.

The bridge, which was temporarily closed to traffic while the structure was inspected, has since reopened, according to KSP.
