UPDATE: Second Person Arrested For Lexington Murder

A second person has been arrested in connection to Lexington’s 14th homicide of the year, police said.

According to a release by the Lexington Police Department, detectives arrested Nathan Miller, 19, and an unnamed juvenile suspect in connection to Friday’s murder of Jeffrey Adams, 19.

Police said Miller and the unnamed juvenile are both charged with complicity to commit murder.

According to court documents, police believe the murder was a result of a drug deal gone bad.

Police said someone shot Adams multiple times in the second floor breezeway of an apartment complex on McCullough Drive.

Miller, along with others, arranged to meet Adams for a drug deal, the arrest citation said. It was during that meeting where Adams was shot several times.

Witnesses told police they heard a verbal disagreement prior to the shots being fired, the press release said.

According to court documents, Miller, and the others, took personal items from Adams after he was shot, before they ran from the scene.

Police are also searching for a third suspect in connection to the murder and issued an arrest warrant for Sayvon Thompson, 20 on Thursday.

According to the press release, Thompson will be charged with complicity to commit murder.
