LPD: Robber apologized to Chuck E. Cheese workers

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say the man who tried to rob Chuck E. Cheese Wednesday afternoon apologized to employees and started to cry.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect. They say he had been at the business in the Woodhill Shopping Center earlier in the day and asked for a job application. According to police, when the man returned for an interview, he implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. Investigators say he was told no one had access to the safe. Police say he was then talked into leaving.

Investigators say it’s all on surveillance tape, and they might have important information on him, assuming he was truthful in the interview.
