Robbery suspect shows up at police station shot
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man who showed up at the police station on Centre Parkway Monday suffering from a gunshot wound, ended up being one of three suspects wanted in connection to an afternoon robbery on Windy Knoll Drive. Investigators say 18-year old Jonathan James was charged with Robbery 1st Degree. He was taken to UK Hospital.
Police say it all started when James and 18-year old Ravonne Brown were let into a home by three men who knew them. Police say James and Brown robbed the men. James ran off but Brown was overpowered by the men in the home, according to police. They say Brown was tied up when officers arrived. Police say one of the residents had been shot. That victim’s name wasn’t released.
Officers say they believe a third suspect was involved. No name was released. In a related case, police say one of the people who lives in the home was charged with narcotics-related offenses.
