MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police in central Kentucky have identified one of two people who died in a crash that shut down southbound Interstate 75.

Police say six 18-wheelers and a passenger car were involved in the crash Tuesday afternoon around mile marker 71 in northern Rockcastle County. Trooper Lloyd Cochran says all three southbound lanes and the shoulder were shut down.

Officer Steven Douglas of state police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement said the passenger car driver who was pronounced dead on the scene was 34-year-old Jonathan D. Roark of Barbourville.
